Armored cars (Panzerwagen)

As armored cars originally were armored cars, the forerunner of the military tank called.

Today the term is used for both military as well as civilian armored vehicles. Since there is no exact definition, is the use of the term is ambiguous. Armored passenger vehicles rather than armored vehicles , vehicles in the service of the German police as special cars and military vehicles as armored cars , armored personnel carriers or infantry fighting vehicle called.
